Having produced the previous year's event for XPS, ACE were commissioned to source a bigger and more epic venue for XPS’s 2019 event.
From an extensive short-list, The IMAX and Science Museum were chosen by the client.
The IMAX cinema provides 410 plush, fixed seats and one giant IMAX projection screen. Although an IMAX movie would fill the entire projection surface, when converted to data projection, required for a conference, the screen window is somewhat smaller than the IMAX screen.
To overcome this, ACE designed a solution that created the illusion of a full IMAX screen projection, by adding a custom lighting design that helped merge the data projection with the unused IMAX backdrop.
ACE’s app was used to engage with delegates ahead of the event, and during sessions, so delegates could post questions and comments to speakers, as well as respond to questions and polls when prompted. As well as this, a mic-cube was thrown into the audience if anyone had an impromptu question or comment.
In a neighboring Museum space called ‘Engineer your Future’, ACE set up a demo room for XPS’s online pensions platform, Radar.
The event ran from 9am to 1pm, when delegates were then invited to stay for lunch at Illuminate. After lunch, delegates were treated to a special private showing of ‘A Beautful Planet 3D’back at the IMAX, now converted back to a cinema.

This event attracts around 500 clients and partners to join in a series of plenary presentations, and product demonstration workshops over a three-day programme.
The first task was to recommend suitable destinations and venues for the event, taking into account the diversity of the target audience, the timing of the event (December) and need to attract the best quality attendance.
Barcelona was proposed and confirmed due to its business and coastal brand, its superb flight access and its available of top class venues.

This global market research and consumer panel runs a graduate training and management programme for which they search out the very best UK graduate talent to recruit. An important aspect of this programme is their Graduate Recruitment Day.
Following the success of previous years, Absolute Corporate Events were again asked to organise this prestigious Graduate event. This included finding the ideal venue, which had to cater for a main seminar and presentation space and up to 20 separate meeting rooms to conduct individual interview and assessments throughout the day which also meant our onsite liaison had to be quick and efficient to manage the flow of meetings and ensure everything ran on-time.
Our work ensured our client was able to successfully assess their potential graduate candidates in an effective and engaging way, whilst communicating their brand value and benefits successfully.

The ACE team proposed a number of global destinations and venues, and helped the client choose the most suitable for its event and audience.
Due to the calibre of attendees and the ‘sales’ focus of the audience and agenda, care and attention was paid to designing a motivational and engaging programme with a delicate mix of informing, educating, rewarding and motivating.
Two off-site dinners were prepared, one with a relaxed and local flavour, and a more high-end rewarding awards gala dinner with startling entertainment.
A bespoke set, stage and production environment were designed for an engaging sales meeting, and a competitive sales-focused team activity was designed for one half day, sending teams out into the old town to barter, sell and negotiate.
